Those rescued included nationals of China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam and Indonesia. This followed a distress call from merchant vessel MV Gold Autumn, about 200 nautical miles (approximately 370 km) off Pakistan’s coast, according to the statement issued at the time.
